FTC Releases Tentative Agenda for Attention Economy Workshop on June 4

The Federal Trade Commission has released the tentative agenda for its June 4, 2025 workshop on “The Attention Economy: How Big Tech Firms Exploit Children and Hurt Families.”

The workshop, which will take place in person and online, will examine how Big Tech companies impose addictive design features, erode parental authority, and fail to protect children from exposure to harmful content. French law has traditionally provided that absences due to non-occupational illness are not taken into account when determining the amount of paid leave accrued, as they do not constitute a period of actual work. Periods of absence due to an occupational accident or illness lasting more than one uninterrupted year are not taken into account either.
