Listeria Outbreak Linked to Pasta Meals – the Rest of the Untold Story

Almost half a year (that’s right, half a year!) after Fresh Realm ready-to-reheat meals were originally linked to a Listeria monocytogenes (Lm) outbreak and the original recalls were conducted – illnesses continue and pasta as an ingredient by another supplier (Nate’s Fine Foods) is now contributing to a wave of ingredient driven recalls in a variety of pasta containing meal products sold by retailers.

Multistate Salmonella Outbreak linked to Eggs

As of June 5, 2025, a total of 79 people infected with the outbreak strain of Salmonella have been reported from 7 states (Arizona 3, California 63, Kentucky 1, Nebraska 2, New Jersey 2, Nevada 4, Washington 4). Officials investigating Salmonella outbreak linked to San Diego restaurant

Five people were hospitalized as part of a Salmonella outbreak linked to a Middle Eastern restaurant in Clairemont, San Diego County health officials have reported.

Officials are investigating the outbreak among patrons of Aladdin Mediterranean Café, where people who reported getting sick had eaten on April 25 and 26. 

“County epidemiologists have identified 14 confirmed and probable cases associated with this outbreak, ranging between 18 and 79 years of age,” according to a news release from the county health department.… Read the rest

Minnesota health officials are urging people to contact their health care provider if they ate a hamburger, especially if undercooked, at a table-service restaurant since Oct. 31 and then developed diarrhea, particularly bloody diarrhea, in the following week.
