The federal courts in Minnesota are preparing today’s students to be the leaders of tomorrow through a new courthouse learning center in St. Paul. The Justice and Democracy Center of Minnesota is one of a growing number of civics education centers, museums, and exhibits in federal court buildings across the country.

Florida Courthouse Named for Influential Judge

The federal courthouse in Tallahassee, Florida will be named in honor of the late Judge Joseph W. Hatchett, a trailblazing jurist who was among the first African Americans appointed to the federal bench in the South. The naming ceremony for the Joseph Woodrow Hatchett U.S. Courthouse and Federal Building will be held on June 30.
