The SEC Division of Trading and Markets (the Division) updated FAQs clarifying broker-dealer obligations and regulatory considerations for crypto asset activities and distributed ledger technology. The Division and FINRA’s Office of General Counsel also withdrew a 2019 Joint Statement regarding broker-dealer custody of digital asset securities.

The Judicial Branch updated its FY 2024 funding request to Congress by nearly $ 184 million as part of the regular budget process. But it continued to voice concerns about proposed appropriation levels that are too low to preserve federal courts’ ability “to administer justice effectively and efficiently.”

On September 29, 2023, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) issued new agency-wide guidelines regarding how its employees will address cases in which Red Notices and Diffusions.

On 23 February 2023, the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association, Loan Market Association and Loan Syndications and Trading Association jointly published updates on the Green, Social and Sustainability-Linked Loan Principles (the “Principles”) together with their supporting guidance documents (the “Guidance”).
